Ember – Red Carnelian With Pendant

Ember is a one-of-a-kind AMONTA necklace I created for the woman who is not afraid to be seen as she truly is — individual, expressive and quietly confident.

I chose rich, natural carnelian for its warmth and depth, then hand-knotted each bead individually on natural silk. There is something beautifully meditative about this process; every knot is placed by hand, allowing the necklace to develop its own rhythm and character as it comes to life.

At the heart of Ember is a sculptural pendant that I handcrafted in Argentium® silver. I finished it with a solid 9ct gold bail and set it with a natural green sapphire, creating a vivid contrast against the deep, glowing red of the carnelian. The necklace is completed with my handmade oxidised sterling silver hook clasp, while the pendant is fully UK hallmarked as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship.

For me, this piece is about having the confidence to follow your own path.

The name Ember came naturally. The carnelian reminded me of the quiet glow that remains within a fire — warm, powerful and alive even when everything around it has become still. I wanted the necklace to carry that same feeling: strength that does not need to shout, individuality that does not need permission, and a sense of self that comes from within.
